All Along the Watchtower
A trip to Maui and Diamond Head, with its wondrous beaches and play of light inspired this painting of the lighthouse on the point of the famous ‘Diamond Head’ in Waikiki.
“Hawaii is so colourful it seemed natural to just let the colours blend and bleed according to the contrast lines that were present that day. I was listening to Jimi Hendrix’s ‘All Along the Watchtower’ when I was painting it, hence its title.”
