Blue Belle

First started in a plein air session, Teyjah drew it outside and then painted it later. She imposed colours to make the flower come alive, purposely choosing complementary colours for it. The orange background set against the blue flower gives a great contrast. Working from the darkest to the lightest tonalities within the petals gives a rich textural gradation and a great effect!
