Cloud Cover
This piece comes from Teyjah’s memories of a trip to the Southwest, and her memories of its beautiful clouds. As the story goes, while on a hike in Monument Valley, she was privy to a multitude of landscape forms. There were magnificent spires, buttes and mesas but, within this vista, what really stood out for her were the clouds. As Teyjah describes, “As dusk settles, this is kind of what happens…. all the colour is sucked out of the rock and what is left behind is the impression of landform shapes against the cloud covered sky.”
