Enigma
This nonfigurative piece is an exploration of the colour red, with variations of tonalities, warmth and coolness. Complementary colours are there for contrast, depth and impact. This painting has the potential to allow us to see many images in it; thus, the name Enigma. This piece is a direct result of the artist listening to the sound track of “A Space Odyssey”. Red is a happy colour for Teyjah; however, there are many cultural interpretations of the colour red. This can make each individual react quite differently, and further enhances the ‘enigmatic’ quality of this piece.
