Eye of the Storm
In this painting the artist used tar gel, coarse pumice and a lot of matte gel to create a textured surface. She then layered oil-based alkyds over top of the surface. The resulting effect can be interpreted as a tornado, or like a weather map of storms when you are looking down from space. There are swirling masses created by paint layering.
