FLORAL PAINTINGS COLLECTION
Kodachrome Basin
Inspiration for this painting came from Teyjah’s visit to Yellowstone Park. In her mind’s eye, she imagined looking down from space into the Kodachrome Basin and this inspired her to paint this scene. This piece was first created by the artist as an abstract landscape, but it also presents itself as a sunflower to others.
This piece speaks to the commonality of nature’s design and how it repeats in all we see. Despite your best intentions, what is visually pertinent to our own eye, can be something altogether different in the eye of somebody else. This is an interpretive painting – what do you see?
