In the painting, the artist recalls one of her trips to Utah, where even at night she got a sense of the colour and the textures in the rock. To create the mountainous landscape, she used various gels such as molding paste, acrylic paints, and coloring pencils for emphasis. Like other pieces, it reminds her of the spires and buttes of the Southwest. However, this one is more interpretive and is a compilation of two different places being massed together. This work of art depicts her feelings about being in the Southwest at night.
