Power of Woman
This is a wonderful piece that presents a complementary colour play and textural interplay in a collage format. Teyjah describes her creation, “The reds reminded me of a heart, and the exotic eyes reminded me of the hypnotic appeal of a woman’s gaze.” This painting is connected to the Helen Reddy song ‘I Am Woman’ and reflects a belief of Teyjah’s. With the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements in full gear, women need to stand up for equality now more than ever before, and to fight against anyone in power seeking to profit from their position.”
