Scarlet Pimpernel
The second floral in a series of three triptychs that just reminds me of the beauty of colors and the sensuality of floral shapes. There is one flower that stands out and that is the Scarlet Pimpernel. It is a small plant with scarlet flowers that closes in inclement weather. I used the same color scheme in all three paintings with varying results but each painting contains within it some type of flowers. You can refer to “Posy” and “Primula” to complete the set.
