Project Description
PETROGLYPHS
Tall Tale
Tall Tale is all about the excitement of the hunt. Hooting and hollering to get the elephant’s attention and then encircling him and bringing him down. There is a brotherhood strategy involved. Tactics and techniques are involved. This is not a simple task with only spearheads to work with.
The painting portrays the dynamic and hoopla of the chase. At the actual petroglyph site, there are numerous hunters (closer to 11 participants) coordinating their efforts to take the elephant down. One can visually see the elephant’s distress and the hunter’s adrenaline flow. Life is often unfair and cruel but one must survive.
