There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills
After the first 3 paintings, Teyjah learned what would happen with different combinations and the chemical reactions and effects that would take place. In this painting, she discovered you can layer the alkyds, which can make it even more interesting because of the reactions between the layers. The artist also uses tools to create more textures, and this was the experimental aspect of the painting. “This painting was more deliberate. Now I knew I could forsee the effects as result of my previous experimentation. However, it is still open to interpretation because you don’t know what the painting will be like before the 72 hours of curing is up.”
