Tidal Pool
This painting presented a number of challenges to me in that the paint just would not cooperate. It was mayhem incarnate! At first it was the composition, then the flow of paint was just too runny and then I accidentally dropped paint in a very inconvenient area as it was nearing completion. Despite the chaos, I was able to see an image emerging and was able to coax the product towards a more defined theme. This is “Tidal Pool” with its wave-lapping action bringing forth plant and vegetation from the sea with the relentless ebb and flow of waves and tides. One of my personal favorites!
